Fulfillment
Fulfillment & 3PL Partners in Asia
Package Asia covers the operational layer after packaging production: warehousing, kitting, pick-and-pack, order fulfillment and cross-border 3PL services across Asian markets.
Services buyers may need
Inbound storage, inventory control and regional stock positioning.
Order processing, packing, labeling and dispatch for B2C or B2B orders.
Assembly of sets, promotional packs, inserts and subscription-box configurations.
Regional order routing, export documentation and integration with parcel carriers.
What to compare in a 3PL
- Warehouse locations and target-market coverage
- Receiving, storage and pick-pack fee structure
- Minimum monthly volumes or account fees
- Inventory and order-management integrations
- Returns handling and value-added services
- Parcel, freight and customs relationships
Packaging and fulfillment should be designed together. Carton dimensions, mailer choice and protective materials directly affect warehouse labor, storage density and shipping cost.
Build a comparable 3PL request
Send each provider the same forecast: monthly orders, number of SKUs, average units per order, inbound cartons or pallets, packaging needs, return rate and destination countries. Ask for a rate card covering receiving, storage, picking, packing materials, shipping, returns and account minimums. Separate one-time setup from recurring charges.
Check operations before signing
- Confirm inventory accuracy reporting, order cut-off times and service-level definitions.
- Test the store or ERP integration and how exceptions are reported.
- Agree on damaged stock, lost inventory, returns and peak-season capacity.
- Run a small pilot with real package dimensions and several order types.
Packaging dimensions affect storage and parcel charges. Compare the e-commerce packaging options and use the landed-cost guide when imported stock is involved.
